On January 29, Venus Envy is celebrating it's 10th anniversary.

10 years of sex positive workshops, sex toys, harnesses, binders, stuffers, pokers, and protectors;
10 years of community organizing, with discussion panels, screenings, sex worker report launches, and erotic readings;
10 years of guest speakers from around the world, including the likes of Midori and Patrick Califia;
10 years of zines, and graphic novels and bondage instructions and support and laughter and questions and answers;
10 years of hot queer parties (which in Ottawa, means some of the only hot queer parties, for hot queers....)
10 years of Shelley Taylor making it all happen with the help and support of the community around her.

For this wondrous occasion, Ottawa is in for a real treat.
There will be Simmilicious, Heart-On Burlesque, Riot Grrl Burlesque, and Music by CPI.
The main attraction will be the fabulous, vogueing, Ill Nana, the likes of which Ottawa has never seen before. These Queens are like Vogue meets lady gaga, meets modern dance, meets drag cabaret and more.

And for this very special anniversary, and for one-time only, Ms. Butcher, a typewriter and I will spark up some deep seated desires for a tantalizing seduction you're not likely going to want to miss.

A few years ago, the illustrious Megan Butcher and I dated for a few months. I destroyed three skirts during that time. We had a knack, if you will, for uninhibited make-out, with tendency towards pressed-up against the wall straddling.  

It. Was. Hot.

Our performance, Qu’ils mangent de la brioche will kick off the night.  

Tickets are $5-15 sliding scale and go on sale this weekend at Venus Envy. Proceeds will go to the Venus Envy Bursary fund. There will be ASL interpretation and place is fairly accessible. I hope to see you there.
